hannah-greendale-the-green-beet

Hi there! It’s me, Hannah Greendale, peeking out from behind the kitchen curtain; ready to share my face with the world. Incredibly delicious vegetarian cuisine; have you heard of this stuff? It seems most people haven’t, which is why I just couldn’t resist sharing recipes with the world.

I’ve spent the last year testing vegetarian and vegan recipes on a pleasurable trek to satisfy my love of fine food. Now that I’ve got some serious kitchen-experience under my belt, I’m ready to start adding my own personal recipes to The Green Beet too. I’ve got to tell you, when I advocate using a product, visiting a restaurant, or reading a book, it’s because I’ve tested it for myself and believe it’s something you shouldn’t miss. If you'd like to send me something (or invite me somewhere) to give a product, book, or restaurant a review I'm all ears but be forewarned I'm going to give my honest opinion whether its good or bad.

If you see a girl in your grocery store spending too much time in the produce section squeezing melons and sniffing peaches and lemons, that’s probably me. Don’t be shy, say “hello” because I’d just love to talk with you about kale and quinoa.

Meet My Partners in Crime:

Where would I be without my trusty taste-tester, Wil? Carnivore turned pescatarian (he’s a vegetarian whose only meat consumption is the occasional fish & seafood) he brings another set of experienced taste buds to the table.

wil_wells_smWe were both carnivores once-upon-a-time, so you can trust us when we say these vegetarian dishes will satisfy meat eaters.

And let’s not forget Pickles, our fluffy companion who serves as a daily reminder that fuzzy, fluffy, feathered, or scaled, all creatures have a life energy and personality all their own.

My motto? Expect more from your food.

My goal? To help you achieve a healthy heart and happy conscience.

Happy cooking!
